Becoming a guitarist involves a sense of commitment, investment of effort and time and a love for the instrument. This translates into finding a guitar that will help you develop and master your skills and interest. Yamaha is hailed as one of the leading brands that produce quality guitars.
In 1887, Yamaha launched its first musical instrument, known as the Reed Piano. Yamaha manufactures several types of guitars. The Yamaha Guitars are celebrated products of the company, as are their range of motorcycles. The classical guitar has its equivalent in the Spanish Guitar.
The classical guitar varies from the acoustic guitar on account of the size of its fret. The raised part on it is the fret. The fret is made of a hard material, and it serves the function of preventing the chord from continuing to play. Another variation found in the acoustic guitar is that its strings are made of steel while the classical guitar strings are made of nylon.
A crucial aspect when selecting a guitar is the size and the level of expertise of the instrument player. A careful analysis of this will help you pick the right instrument. Yamaha produces classical guitars, which are available in a wide range of sizes and prices.
Yamaha’s six kinds of guitars are:
• Yamaha NCX900 Acoustic-Electric Classical Guitar- the guitar creates a deep yet soft tone. Considered most suited for a professional or experienced player, it is apt for playing folk music. It is priced at $600.
• Yamaha CG201S Series Guitar- Owing to the thinness of the sides, neck and back, this guitar is light and convenient for the guitarist. It is handmade and hence falls in the higher price range. The cut- a- way aspect of the guitar allows the guitarist to access the fret with relative ease. The price range begins at $500.
• NTX700 Acoustic Electric Classical Guitar- The guitar is fashioned from soft wood. It has the cut- a- way feature too. It enables the guitarist to play different genres of music. A built in amplifier is another feature of this guitar. The price range begins at $400.
• Yamaha C40 Gig Maker Classical Acoustic Guitar- This guitar is most favourable for those who are starting with guitars or those who want to access guitars at a lower price. Even though the price is low, the quality is the same as that of any other Yamaha product. This series features the full size guitar. The price range begins at $140.
• Yamaha CGS104A Classical Guitar- this guitar is for those who want an instrument in the low price range, whether they are professional guitarists or beginners. The price range begins at $130.
It is imperative to maintain the condition of your guitar, in order to ensure that it has a long life.
A few aspects that can help maintain the guitar are storing it in a dry space (preferably in its case) where alterations in temperature are not sudden (as this can cause cracks to form), oiling the guitar occasionally (depending on its material), and attaching new strings when old ones break.
You can either buy or rent a musical instrument.
